Music Lessons

Have you always wanted to learn to play the piano? I hear that all the time! Not only do I teach piano, but also voice and flute.

I have been teaching privately for over 40 years and my students have ranged from 4 years old to over 70 years old. Many of my students have received superior ratings at district and state music festivals in Wisconsin, Ohio and Florida. I am a Green Bay, Wisconsin native and have lived all over the eastern part of the United States. I have a passion to teach as well as hopefully instill a life-long love of music in each of my students.

IMG_0030 (2)I began taking private piano lessons in 1966. In 1972 I began flute lessons and continued with both until high school graduation in 1976. During high school I also was the principal flutist for the Green Bay Youth Symphony. My senior year I was part of the Wind Ensemble at UWGB. After high school, I attended Evangel University in Springfield, Missouri where I majored as a flute and voice student.

As an adult I have studied with several excellent flute, piano and voice teachers to keep up my skills. I have played flute and sang on several church worship teams, been a member of Southport Baroque Chamber Ensemble (flute) as well as Studio One Flute Choir. I have also played flute in several pit orchestras for various high school musical productions.

Moonlight Sonata

This young lady has an incredible appetite to learn as much as she can about music and various instruments. This past year, she has really blossomed as a pianist. She dediced she wanted to try solo and ensemble - not only did she perform a piano solo, she also performed a vocal solo, a mallet duet (she plays percussion in band) and other events. She was the last pianist to perform at her district festival (first or last are not the coveted positions to perform), but she played beautifully and received a "1" - the top rating for class B. Please take a few moments to relax and enjoy this performance of a classic piece. ... See more
